Wide Text Copy and Paste

Wide text uses the Fullwidth Latin block — A–Z, a–z and 0–9 — which Unicode created so Latin letters could line up with East Asian characters. Each letter occupies a full square cell, producing the stretched vaporwave look. Because they are standard characters, wide text copies and pastes into any app that shows Unicode.

Popular Wide Text Styles

Plain full-width is the classic vaporwave aesthetic — aesthetic — seen in playlist titles, album art and Tumblr-era bios. S p a c e d text gives a similar airy feel using normal letters, and spaced full-width combines both for maximum stretch. Moon, flower and 〔 〕 frames keep it soft; static ⣿⣿ and block ░▓█ frames give a glitchy, corrupted-VHS version.

Wide Text for Aesthetic Bios, Playlists and Discord

Wide text is an aesthetic staple: Spotify and YouTube playlist titles, Instagram and TikTok bios, Tumblr headers, Discord server names and vaporwave or lo-fi channel branding. A single wide word as a bio heading has more impact than a full wide sentence, and a spaced name reads well as a display name. Because each character is a full cell, some platforms count wide text as more characters than normal text.

Good to know: full-width characters are wider than normal letters, so a wide line wraps sooner and can be counted as two characters each by some platforms.

Wide Text vs Spaced Text vs Vaporwave Text

Wide text and vaporwave text are the same thing — full-width Unicode letters. Spaced text is normal letters with a space between each, achieving a similar airy look without special characters, so it works even where full-width glyphs are missing. Spaced full-width combines both. If a platform rejects full-width characters in a username, spaced normal letters are the fallback that keeps the aesthetic.

Vaporwave and Aesthetic Wide Text Ideas

The vaporwave look is full-width lowercase with a soft frame: ☾ midnight ☽ or ✿ sunday ✿. Japanese-style 〔 〕 and 『 』 brackets fit the retro-Tokyo mood the genre borrows from. Lowercase reads softer; uppercase full-width — AESTHETIC — reads more like a poster or album title.

For playlists, a wide title with a single moon or flower stands out in a list of plain names. For a glitchier lo-fi look, use the static ⣿⣿ or block ░▓█ frames, or the wide tilde style for a wavy, tape-warped line. Keep links, dates and handles in normal characters so they still work.

Wide Text FAQ

What is wide text?

Text written in full-width Unicode letters, where each character fills a full square cell. It is the same style people call vaporwave or aesthetic text.

Is wide text the same as vaporwave text?

Yes. Vaporwave text is full-width Unicode, often in lowercase with a soft frame. This page produces exactly that.

Can I copy and paste wide text?

Yes. Full-width letters are standard Unicode characters, so they paste into bios, captions, names and messages anywhere Unicode is supported.

Why does wide text get cut off in my bio?

Some platforms count each full-width character as two toward the limit, and the letters are physically wider so lines wrap sooner. Shorten the line or use spaced normal letters.

Do numbers convert to wide text?

Yes. The full-width block includes digits 0–9 as well as letters.

Is the wide text generator free?

Yes. It is free, has no sign-up and runs in your browser.
